About Ben

Life has always fascinated me.

I've long been drawn to life's bigger questions. What gives life meaning? Why are we here? How do we become the person we were created to be? Those questions have shaped my travels, my studies and my writing.

My books draw on observation, lived experience and timeless wisdom. Some are memoirs. Others explore spirituality, travel, family, ethics and personal growth. Each one shares the same purpose: to help readers think more deeply and live with greater meaning, wisdom and spiritual connection.

Much of my writing is inspired by the timeless wisdom of the Jewish tradition. My hope is to share those insights in a way that speaks to anyone searching for a richer, more meaningful life.

When I'm not writing, you'll often find me walking, travelling, reading or reflecting. I believe many of life's greatest lessons are found in ordinary moments, if we're willing to notice them.

Thank you for visiting. I hope you leave with an idea, a story or a question that stays with you long after you've turned the final page.

Everything is alive with possibility.

Fire, music and breath seem closer to their spiritual essence, making it easier for us to sense something beyond the physical. Yet a rock contains just as much spirit, if not more. The difference is not in the rock, but in our ability to perceive it.

Don't let society do your thinking.

Every generation believes it has discovered the right way to live. Yet what was accepted yesterday is often rejected today, and what is rejected today may be embraced tomorrow.

If your values are built only on the changing opinions of society, they'll change as often as society does. Build your life on principles that are timeless, not trends that are temporary.

There is no retirement.

If you are doing what you were created to do, why would you stop? Continue until you are no longer physically or mentally able. If you are doing work that isn't yours, don't wait for retirement. Start doing what you are here to do.
